Now expecting that you are following a good workout routine, it would be a good idea to shoot up your protein intake. Proteins are thermogenic. That is, they increase your metabolism through the increased heat in your body. It will help stimulate your metabolism, which will, in turn, result in weight loss. My best advice is 40:30:30 Ratio of Protein, Carbs, And Fats.
3. Eliminate Carbohydrates At Night:
The most straightforward trick to reduce belly fat that I have been following for years now is not to consume any form of carbs after 8 pm; again, this depends on how active your lifestyle is! For someone like me, who has a very active lifestyle, where most of the time of the day either I am on my feet, pulling anchors, scuba diving or running pool sessions, eliminating carbs at night will only do me damage as my body demands it for sufficient recovery. Whereas for someone with a desk job eliminating carbohydrates at night from your diet and replacing them with some lean protein and salads will do much higher benefit.
4. Reduce Your Calorie Intake:
There are many websites which will help you to estimate your maintenance calories. Once you have that figure reduce your calorie intake by 500 calories and start your weight loss journey. You can check your daily calorie requirement here.
5. Avoid Processed Sugars:
People don’t realize, but processed sugars are like a drug. You get addicted to it, and it also puts in an unnecessary amount of empty calories in your body. The day I stopped having processed sugars, it changed my life in a very positive way. It made me energetic, I feel a lot healthier, and weight loss is no more a problem.
